CyberCube vs. Employment Hero

Employment Hero is perfect for small- to medium-sized businesses that are looking for an easy-to-implement, constantly developing platform that is not high-cost. The platform is constantly evolving and in some areas is lightyears ahead of other platforms. Unfortunately, for larger businesses, it is probably not there yet. As much as we love the product, we also have ongoing issues with data security (data going missing and then having to be restored by Employment Hero) and customer service and support (their AI support reliance is horrible; you just have to decide if you can live with that because phone support is poor and there is no direct ticketing system anymore). Workflows are also simple, but probably not advanced enough for larger businesses who rely on them for more efficiencies.

• It would be great to sometimes be able to talk to a human rather than go through an AI chat.
• Send onboarding reminders when a new employee hasn't completed all their required documents.

The Manager experience is cumbersome and often requires HR admim support. Employees have severe issues with logging in and 2FA verification via the App. Platform updates are rolled out without notice. User guides are often out of date and support is severely lacking. Obvious HR functions are not available and suggestions in forums seemingly are not acknowledged

Employment Hero, despite all of the good things, is held back by how bad its customer support is. To start with, they have no ticketing system. There is no way for you to just log a ticket about something that needs fixing and walk away. Every time you need support, you have to waste time negotiating with their AI or going through their tedious phone support process, only for the ticket to be logged anyway. Their AI is also a nightmare. You ask it to log a ticket, and it doesn't understand, you ask to talk to a person, and it will ask you to provide it with more details so it can try to help you first. It is a real pain. The phone support people almost never solve your problem when you get through to them. They just end up logging a ticket anyway; so that's kind of pointless to have. Outside of that, you have to really like reading to self-support yourself. Because, Employment Hero has nearly no help videos or how to videos. Almost everything is words on a page. Even the videos they do have can't be linked to your induction or sent out to staff.

Employment Hero had a good combination of usability, value for money, and an all-round feature set that suited our needs as a professional product and engineering based business.

• Being able to process Super easily every fortnight takes 5 minutes, whereas running reports before this took 20 minutes.
• Onboarding the ease for myself and new employees.
• Negative impact: sometimes it takes me time to find a solution when I have a question. I have had to add my details several times via AI chat.
