DataPath Summit vs. Quickbooks Workforce

The user interface for the most part was heads and shoulders above the legacy system. It was difficult to work between two systems, but we made it work. My clients took to it pretty easily as I recorded a user experience and also utilized the manual from DataPath. I do feel like the material provided was too generic and costly. I took the user guides and added current screenshots and instructions as the guides we purchased were outdated.

Much of the front-end employee onboarding is handled via a simple link. Further, when the employees have questions about their time, schedule, pay stubs, etc., they know they can log in to Workforce and 9 times out of 10 get the answer to their question. It has saved me a lot of time in that aspect.

• Time off requests can get a little confusing, especially for hourly employees who may not be scheduled for 8 hours, but the default time off is set to 8 hours. I wish it matched their schedules because I have to correct time balances a lot.

Very easy and intuitive to use. Easy to get people started without a steep learning curve. Able to track changes.

Quickbooks Online Payroll is so much simpler, better suited for business with regular salary or hourly employees that do not have different work schedules
