Demio vs. Denodo

If you're looking to add webinars into your content, sales, or marketing strategy Demio is a great tool to make that happen. The interface is clean and simple, easy to use, and offers plenty of features to make your webinar experience unique to your business, with a more personalized experience. Demio makes it easy to share your expertise, get in front of your customers in large numbers, and develop your brand through multimedia and video content. From live to automated webinars, you have options to control the content and create the webinar you want while operating in a tool that was specifically made for webinars. You can even redirect your attendees to a particular URL after the webinar ends if you have a special offer or promotion for your registrants.

Denodo allows us to create and combine new views to create a
virtual repository and APIs without a single line of code. It is excellent
because it can present connectors with a view format for downstream consumers
by flattening a JSON file. Reading or connecting to various sources and
displaying a tabular view is an excellent feature. The product's technical data
catalog is well-organized.

• Caching - but I am sure it will be improved by now. There were times when we expected the cache to be refreshed but it was stale.
• Schema generation of endpoints from API response was sometimes incomplete as not all API calls returned all the fields. Will be good to have an ability to load the schema itself (XSD/JSON/Soap XML etc).
• Denodo exposed web services were in preliminary stage when we used; I'm sure it will be improved by now.
• Export/Import deployment, while it was helpful, there were unexpected issues without any errors during deployment. Issues were only identified during testing. Some views were not created properly and did not work. If it was working in the environment from where it was exported from, it should work in the environment where it is imported.

Overall it is a good webinar platform. Others may have more options but they are way more expensive.

Denodo is very easy to use. It has a user-friendly drag and drop interface. I'm not a fan of the java platform it resides on.

Denodo is a tool to rapidly mash data sources together and create meaningful datasets. It does have its downfalls though. When you create larger, more complex datasets, you will most likely need to cache your datasets, regardless of how proper your joins are set up. Since DV takes data from multiple environments, you are taxing the corporate network, so you need to be conscious of how much data you are sending through the network and truly understand how and when to join datasets due to this.

I love the chat support team at Demio. They're timely. They're thorough. They're polite. They even send funny gifs and emojis. For more serious or complicated questions/issues, I have been invited into a personal Demio webinar with a technical specialist who walked me through exactly how to achieve what I was looking to do and explained everything clearly. Demio's support team is fantastic.

Zoom is a powerful tool for video communications. With the explosion of video meetings since March of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic, webinars that take place on Zoom have an almost Pavlovian response as many folks have a subconscious response or feeling towards the Zoom interface, as they feel like they're in a meeting rather than at a webinar or digital event. Demio is also a true webinar solution, rather than a video communication platform that has been 'converted' into a webinar solution. Demio has features and capabilities that other platforms lack, and the interface is a fresh experience with no preconceived notions.

Denodo is simple and easy to use. Highly recommended unless you have huge volumes of data
