Demio vs. Suralink

If you're looking to add webinars into your content, sales, or marketing strategy Demio is a great tool to make that happen. The interface is clean and simple, easy to use, and offers plenty of features to make your webinar experience unique to your business, with a more personalized experience. Demio makes it easy to share your expertise, get in front of your customers in large numbers, and develop your brand through multimedia and video content. From live to automated webinars, you have options to control the content and create the webinar you want while operating in a tool that was specifically made for webinars. You can even redirect your attendees to a particular URL after the webinar ends if you have a special offer or promotion for your registrants.

SuraLink makes perfect sense for a CPA firm that works with a number of clients. It provides easy access, and well-presented display of each client and the corresponding files provided. The security of the files is also imperative for sensitive client information. The format of the portal also allows for ease of understanding which files coordinate to what requests. This is in contrast to a something like a "drop-box" in which it is simply a list of files. This may not be the proper product for a smaller operation that only seeks secure file transfers on a non-regular basis. Additionally, for the smaller organizations, the cost may be prohibitive for little to sparing use. In those situations, a more simple secure file transfer options may be more advantageous.

• Creating an automated webinar series option
• Ability to combine live and automated webinars within a series

• There seems to be a number of situation in which the site is down or experiencing difficulties. This makes it difficult to work with clients and obtain documentation.
• When uploading a large volume of workpapers, there are occasions in which some or all of the files will not upload properly. This creates additional back and forth and frustration with the client for re-requests or follow-ups.
• The email notification alerts could be stronger in how they are displayed and how the changes/updates are utilized.

Overall it is a good webinar platform. Others may have more options but they are way more expensive.

I love the chat support team at Demio. They're timely. They're thorough. They're polite. They even send funny gifs and emojis. For more serious or complicated questions/issues, I have been invited into a personal Demio webinar with a technical specialist who walked me through exactly how to achieve what I was looking to do and explained everything clearly. Demio's support team is fantastic.

Zoom is a powerful tool for video communications. With the explosion of video meetings since March of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic, webinars that take place on Zoom have an almost Pavlovian response as many folks have a subconscious response or feeling towards the Zoom interface, as they feel like they're in a meeting rather than at a webinar or digital event. Demio is also a true webinar solution, rather than a video communication platform that has been 'converted' into a webinar solution. Demio has features and capabilities that other platforms lack, and the interface is a fresh experience with no preconceived notions.

• Positive - Significantly reduced time searching for files that correspond to audit requests
• Positive - Reduced time creating list(s) of open items or documents that remain needed from the client, as the portal serves as a "live" request list
• Positive - Integration with EXCEL for PBC lists of items needed, which removes the need for a special format list to import correctly
