If you already use Jira for task tracking, it's definitely a good complement to have TeamBoard TimePlanner. And it's free to try. If you're not managing a team, like you are seeking a tool to coordinate yourself in your projects, you can find other tools in the market, even free for this purpose.

tracking time on actual tickets being worked is a great fit. trying to track soft functions that normally have nothing to do with Jira is much more cumbersome and difficult to manage.

  • Calendar integration is easy to set up and can make logging time even easier
  • Chrome extension is also very handy to track time on the fly
  • Tempo-UI is pretty user friendly, like the ability to favorite jira tickets and duplicate time entries.

  • Minor things, like changing tabs on list of tickets on the calendar view doesn't reset the scroll so sometimes it looks like you 'lost' your tickets and it can be confusing.
