Swydo, by DialogTech vs. Q Research Software

When talking with people in the industry (colleagues, job interviews, clients) Swydo, by DialogTech, has an outstanding reputation. I've recommended the service many times in one-off audits and to in-house marketers at clients who are still doing manual reporting. The Holy Grail was always getting data pushed to you so that you could analyze it and improve the business. Mondays are no longer reporting days. They're analysis days. We've also set up a number of online dashboards that we host on our site. We could use Swydo, by DialogTech, as well, but we think it's great that our site is the place where people retrieve their data.

We use Q for quantitative data. If you know what you are doing it can still take a bit of time to manipulate your data into the most suitable format for the software to help you. But it is time well spent because once it's set up, Q makes the analysis a breeze. We use it for producing data tables, word clouds, significance testing, audience segmentation and coding of open-responses.

• Produces really easy to view tables
• Automatically applies significance testing to data, helping the user spot trends
• Create and insert your own variables and filters to help manipulate the data

• The interface has a bit of a learning curve.
• Because you're directly accessing an API, there is some experimentation needed to get the data that you want.

• The pricing model is a little restrictive for smaller teams that only really need one license but have to buy a 2nd to help out modest users/users learning the ropes.
• Learning the basics can take quite a bit of time but they offer plenty of free resources that help you through it step-by-step
• Too be honest, I don't have too many complaints

Swydo, by DialogTech has the most thorough metric collection, and information is collected in real-time, no delay like other platforms

We still use Excel in order to use Q, but all the analysis happens in Q. No need to learn formulas or reformat spreadsheets. Q does all the heavy lifting.

• Improved accuracy
• Countless hours saved over years because we use it for regular and ad-hoc reporting. The regular alone is ~5 hours/week.
• Clients who haven't seen this kind of comprehensive reporting are wowed and thrilled.
