docEdge DMS vs. Trimble ProjectSight

DocEdge DMS software is used by our organization. It helps us to manage, control and monitor all the documents of my business. It also provides a smooth and easy workflow for the processing of documents approvals and sharing that is helpful in gaining profit for my organization. By using this software we work more effectively and efficiently.

I would probably recommend Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) over Procore, as it is an easier user interface and typically avoids any problems with the users. I would say that it does take some getting used to, but once you are used to it it is pretty easy to use. This would be good for a residential home in construction.

• Change orders: great way to send and document official communications to subs and clients.
• Drawings: always good to have drawings and info readily available.

• speed. Some items take a bit long to bring up.

I have only used Procore otherwise, and from what I remember Procore does not have as many features in terms of keeping track of CD documents, and organizing RFI's like Trimble does. I think overall Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) is a better product, and if it was up to me I would pick Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) over Procore.

• Positive: kept jobs running smoothly, awesome tool to track and oversee projects
• Negative: not much really, good tool, just very in-depth with information that is needed to fill in documentation
