Donorbox vs. MemSys

I think Donorbox is well suited to an environment that has a lot of traffic and could be prone to bottlenecks, like a check-in desk, where it's an important spot to engage visitors for donations but cannot be efficiently done in an individual, personal way - much more engaging to have it as a self-serve kiosk that visitors can engage with using various forms of payment.

It is well suited in a public media organization that uses a separate tool for tracking donor touches and engagement and has a separate donation page. In my opinion, it is not a great use case if you are looking for something intuitive or easy to use.

Donorbox had more customization options and a better overall interface for public-facing donor engagement, as well as backend administration, than cheaper alternatives like Zeffy and Givebutter. We determined that it was worth paying more for the Donorbox subscription to have a better-looking and better-functioning donor kiosk that would meet our institution's standards and inspire trust in donations.

MemSys was selected because of its features specific to public media. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it does not show features that would enable it to compete with other CRM systems well.
