E2open vs. Samsara Apps & Driver Workflows

E2Open [Digital Transformation Solutions] is best used for customers/partners that do not have their own marketing automation software. It provides them a space to use already built in campaigns for use. A scenario where it may not be the best recommended tool is in a partner type scenario, such as ours. Currently, the tool does not have a fully customizable campaign for a partner to go in and build out a campaign from scratch. They can only take bits and pieces (depending on what is allowed) and make changes as they see fit.

We use the Samsara Apps & Driver Workflows to record incidents which happen away from the depot. It enables drivers to record where & when an incident happens. They can add a picture, video or other media relating to the incident. The system guides the driver through questions to make the process easier.

Driver workflows lets our Ops team review issues in real time, make vehicle substitutions when necessary, and schedule maintenance when a defect is found. It helps us stay on top of issues before they become bigger, which saves down-time for vehicles. Drivers are comfortable with the flow, which makes them more likely to be highly compliant with using the app.

E2Open [Digital Transformation Solutions] was very cost effective and does provide a simple tool for us to provide our partner network. We have a vast array of partners, some of which do not have any marketing expertise. This tool makes it that much easier for a partner to take advantage of a tool that does all ends of automation for them.

We found Microlise very difficult to work with, both from a procurement perspective, demo & from historically using some of their solutions. The App isn't as dynamic as Samsara Apps & Driver Workflows & we struggled to be able to evaluate the tool, not being able to get the same results made us move onto other options.

• The data that they organize for us, give clear sell in opportunities
• We can spend our marketing money better on the product that is not selling as much as expected
• We can make sure our factories produce the right products because we have insights in which products are really in demand by our consumers.
