Follett offers the Destiny suite, including Destiny Library Manager, a library management system which also includes Destiny Analytics collections management and analytics, and Destiny Discover resource search tool. Destiny Resource Manager extends the suite to manage school resources such as textbooks, laptops, and other assets.
I think Ex Libris Alma is well suited to any library, including those with multiple locations, that is looking for a back-end collections management solution and a front-end discovery website for patrons (Ex Libris Primo) that will play together seamlessly and require little work to synchronize. It might not be the best fit for libraries that regularly evaluate their collections in depth using digital information that is not provided in Alma's own analytics package. I would recommend carefully evaluating what Alma's analytics can do vs. your library's needs before committing, but otherwise it does the job well!
I like that it's everything you need in one place! It catalogs our collection for easy searching, I can make lists within it that are private to me or I can share, I can also run any report I can think of and even program and schedule reports to be run and even emailed to teacher or students. I like customer support, they provide correct information and are very helpful in showing us how to find what we need.

When you conduct an advanced search, there are some of the data points that simply won't export to a .csv, making external analytic work tedious or impossible
UI is not the friendliest - there is a lot of clicking on subtabs to get the information you want
Destiny Library Manager's interface is a little dated. After years and years of use, it just looks old. Functionality is not lost, nor is anything else.
Attempts at automating the process to update our students from our SIS has not gone well. It's easier to enter new students manually.

We have not used any other products. There was a time we were going to look at other options, but then Follett updated their products to the point where there was no longer a need to look elsewhere. We are very happy and love the cost.
