Hugging Face vs. IBM Machine Learning for z/OS

If an organisation has more access to data and have access to high end computers like GPUs it’s recommended to use Hugging face as it will give better accuracy than any other models. If an organisation having less data and has less access to GPUsis looking for decent performance then traditional algorithms are more appropriate than hugging face

IBM Watson Machine Learning is an AI-based scalable self-learning model for any type of business. It can be used to help any company automate repetitive tasks, predict future trends, and make data-driven decisions. I used it to predict stock prices based on certain variables. It works well, cost me nothing, and gives me the ability to create my own AI-based models that I can use for any purpose.

• Most of the Hugging face models are of big size, hence difficult to work if there is no access to high computational system like GPU.
• It’s good to have some visualization tool in hugging face for viewing model architecture.
• I recommend to implement hugging face lite version so that it can run on any system with less specifications.

• Proper usage of REST API documentation is missing.

IBM had a hard time providing business level support. There were a lot of data scientists and technology experts but rarely a simple business person shows up. Also the way IBM operates IBM Consulting has competing priorities as compared to IBM Technology. This has resulted in a lot of confusion at the client's end.

There are some other services offer similar capacity as to Hugging Face, but not entirely the same. For example, amazon web services have a machine learning service called Comprehend, which offer a set of easy to use APIs to do machine translation and entity recognition and some other common NLP use case.

We have been using Microsoft Azure as a machine learning tool. But the challenges remain the same. These are all tools that you need a robust analysis before a decision on the tool. Unfortunately, the technology company cannot make that determination due to lack of core business understanding. Without that the project is doomed.
