IBM StreamSets vs. MuleSoft Anypoint Platform vs. Stitch, a Qlik product

IBM StreamSets excels in real-time logistics data ingestion and transformation across hybrid systems. It’s less ideal for lightweight ETL tasks or static datasets where simpler tools can achieve similar results with less overhead and complexity.

MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is best tool in the market for developing APIs with complex structures communicating with various different types of applications including web applications as well as legacy applications. Also applications including database connectivity for fetching and updating data in the DB tables. I cant think of any scenario which MuleSoft Anypoint Platform could not be used for developing the integrations.

Stitch is very cheap and useful for small to medium size companies to ingest data from common apis/platforms in a quick and cheap way.

• It helps streaming huge data that we have in our Teradata database to various reporting applications that runs on cloud seamlessly.
• We also use IBM StreamSets to power few BI dashboards that our product managers use on regular basis to showcase various data with clients.
• I think the data quality is way better compared to Informatica tool.

• Supports hybrid Mule EBS environments. You can configure both CouldHub-based and on-premise-based API using Mulesoft API manager in a similar manner.

• Stitch is not good at replicating document stores like MongoDB to relational databases. To be fair, this is a difficult task. Stitch flattens the objects, but the result is unwieldy.
• Stitch cannot replicate the same source to multiple sinks, which is inconvenient if you want to replicate some of a datastore's tables to Redshift and others to Redshift Spectrum, for instance.

The StreamSets platform is very easy to use and the interface is extremely intuitive. The drag-and-drop, low-code design makes it accessible for teams with varying technical skills, allowing us to quickly connect sources, define transformations, and deploy pipelines without heavy coding. StreamSets allows us to get started quickly and not have to worry about our pipelines breaking once they're built.

There’s a lot of learning curve at the beginning when it comes to building the code and everything. In terms of usability, I’d say once you get used to it, it’s fine — but it’s not very easy during the initial stages.

Anypoint Platform support is very responsive. There is also a huge knowledge base and an active online forum where answers to most questions can be found. When needed support engages the engineering group so adequate solutions or workarounds are always provided.

First advantage is that this software is particularly new and it keeps updating according to the needs of the user. Other advantage is the it organises and produces conclusions on the basis of data without leaving any relevant information. Other softwares lack in data summarising and readability of the charts and sheets they produce.

Once we have moved all of our system integration APIs to the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, we will need to communicate with a wide variety of external systems. All of our business and service logic is stored in the aforementioned core systems. Anypoint Platform (and all of our APIs) makes it easy to connect to various other platforms. In order to link to these many other systems, connectors and/or components are utilized, and they are simple to configure and integrate.

Stitch from Talend is way more cost effective and has a business model that better aligns with our company. From what I can tell Stitch from Talend has a better customer support platform as well and has been very easy to work with when issues have come up. They also seem less pushy when it comes to sales.
