It's like comparing a VW to an performance car like a Ferrari. If you need the performance, bells and whistles you'll want PhpStorm. If you just need to get from one place to another, MySQL Workbench will do just fine.

phpmyadmin is way better only when local database is concerned but MySQL Workbench is way better then SQLyog because of the more cleaner UI and cost. SQLYog does not have any open-source featuring whereas MySQL Workbench has open source edition with lot of good free features. …

I found Azure UX easier, menu items are more obvious, but it still also requires preparation to use.

The payment card industry is best as it has built-in PCI DSS compliant and in a transactional DB where there are a lot of DML activities the size of the database must be increased.

It works best when you need to create basic queries or manage an simple MySQL schema. For more complicated data modeling, I'll use another tool. You can't beat the price though.

  • Should have a compression algorithm to compress the audited logs, as it will take a lot of space.
  • Can not audit all the DML and DDL activities as it will take a lot of space, should have a compression algo.

  • It provides good features and saves the time.
  • When we use remote server, we can connect without using ssh etc. so saves the time and easy to understand.
