Jhana vs. UpGrad

If you are growing quickly and need to give first time people managers a resource to learn the basics this is a good tool. If you have established leaders this is not a good tool for them. It covers the basics and ABCs of people management and does not go much further than that.

1. Gives you holistic learning with a combination of lectures and assignments
2. Can be accessed via website and mobile application
3. You can download videos and watch them later
4. Overall it is a cost-effective tool
5. Their video player needs a lot of improvement. It keeps on buffering a lot and use a lot of data. Some additional features could be provided like fast-forwarding videos by 5 or 10 seconds

• There are weekly articles that are sent out
• There is info on just about any HR topic there is
• There are activities and exercises that can be done

• The courses library is too exhaustive
• It has partnerships with few of the most reputed universities in India and Globally
• Its a cost effective tool
• Provides the feature to download courses and watch later

• The articles are very surface level
• It is hard to make it valuable in a specific situation. One size does not fit all.
• The exercises don't seem totally flushed out

I have not used any other products like Jhana and I am not sure of what else would be out there. So it is hard to explain how Jhana has stacked up. I would image it stacks up well against anything else. My guess is that other tools feel a lot more corporate.

1. It is relatively cheaper than Bjyu's which was a major deciding factor for going ahead with upGrad
2. UpGrad has partnerships with better universities in India and Globally as well
3. Their marketing team is better than Bjyu's
4. The mentor support provided during the course helps complete the courses faster and understand them better
