Lexis vs. ROSS Intelligence

When I was starting out as a solo, I needed case research and I could not afford to dump all of my profits into my tech stack. Lexis was so helpful and seemed to really understand that a new business venture needed a deal at the start. I loved how supported I felt as a new business and how much they try to work with me as we grow

• Searches using plain language and anything other than specific keywords can be refined.
• Summaries of cases and documents can be sharper.
• The user interface is hideous.

Generally, the product is very straightforward.

There are a few places in the business search, where you don't have the option of narrowing your search using the "include/exclude" option that is on other searches. That is a pain.

But legal search is easy as is the general public documents research.

Westlaw is the Cadillac of legal search engines. It is way faster, way easier to read. BUT Lexis has way more state and trial court cases. So Lexis has more data than Westlaw, and that makes a huge difference.
