Memonic vs. Symantec Ghost Solution Suite

The Memonic tool is a very powerful application that is hugely used by students, research scholars, journalists,s and corporate employees. It helps to jot down important points or a summary which makes a user brief the task with other people. Software is easy to use and has a basic touch. Content can be stored and shared easily.

It helps to manage the mass of computers we use. We use GSS to see where and who deployed software to what computers. This can particularly be helpful when dealing with license usage, and tracking how many licenses we have left, and where those licenses have been used. We are able to use it to manage clients.

• Easy to use web surface.
• Easy sync of data between any device.
• Notes are stored without ay hassle and can be fetched even if you are not online.

• Application is little bit out dated and can have a new UI.
• Basic Grammar and Spell check functionality should be added.
• Should include more security layers.

• Setting up PXE has a learning curve.
• Still trying to figure out if we can create one golden (master) image for all hardware types.
• Would love a way to be able to refresh PCs with effecting user and program data.

Once the research had been done, it seemed that Symantec Ghost Solution Suite was the best suited for our environment. The initial cost was fair and the return on investment was well worth what we had to pay up front. I would recommend Ghost Solution Suite to any larger company.

• Positive: Easy file sharing and user friendly.
• Negative: No spell/grammar check functionality.
• Positive: Multiple device support.
• Positive: We can easily download any data once synced with the device via offline mode also.
