We didn’t know of many similar ones to Profound, which is why we were excited about it. We wanted to be ahead of the curve. We really only had evaluated traditional SEO platforms and Google Analytics is what we used previously. Profound integrated well with Google Analytics too.

It is appropriate if you want to get into AEO and have a dedicated person who can monitor and handle that workflow. It is not well suited if you are interested in just exploring what AEO is about because it takes a lot of time to even build your data out and even take actions that can show impact. It’s a long term commitment and you need to have the bandwidth for it.

AirOps has more of a focus on workflow creation over data analysis. My company builds all our workflows in house via Claude, so this function isn't very important for the AI visibility tool we select. Profound is also the only AI search tracking platform that has firsthand data from real OpenAI users, which was the deciding factor in our choice.
