Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central vs. TallyPrime

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is well suited for inventory management in all aspects. Its accessibility, along with my other apps, when out of the office is unparalleled. I find it easy to work with on a desktop or laptop; however, it could use some work on a mobile device.

When talking about the best, It suits best for accounting the day to day transaction along with reporting the summary of transaction in comparison with other accounting software like Zoho Books for instance, which we used earlier for accounting transactions. I feel TallyPrime is the leader in the industry. Regarding the less appropirate scenarios are its User interface. which needs to be carved further in future, recommended to come up with a Customized Theming option as users generally feel not so comfortable with the same colors every time. Change is generally expected to include customized vibrant colors. I'm curios watch the developments in future.

• Automate the creation of bills of materials for production. We can now generate a BoM from a sales order.
• Organization of all data pertaining to thousands of parts, assemblies, and finished goods. Engineering and purchasing have a common portal.
• We can create sales orders from quotations instead of re-entering them (this did require some bolt-on software). Less redundant work with fewer entry errors.
• Accounting can provide reports based on specific criteria stored in NAV. We can pull better and more detailed intelligence.

• TallyPrime simplifies tax management by automatically calculating various taxes, such as GST, based on transaction data.
• TallyPrime's payroll module handles complex payroll calculations effortlessly
• It offers user-level access control and encryption, ensuring that sensitive financial data is protected

• Some functions could be a bit more user friendly, intuitive.
• Better migration from previous ERP software (especially other Microsoft products). "Growing pains" associated with change?! Maybe.
• A few redundancies and procedural missteps on menus and tabs can make the portal a bit crowded.

• TDL related automation is something that I'm very curious and TallyPrime should invest time to develop it and provide Knowledge training on it.
• I feel the necessity to introduce the TallyPrime software access in a handheld device access or via web such that on the go transaction can be made noted in TallyPrime without resorting to Desktop environment
• The UI should also be changed currently, whenever I sit, I use keyboard like a typewriter and that aesthetic must be modified with a feature
• The theming feature should be introduced in the TallyPrime, earlier, in TallyERP 9, we have green color screen with some shades of green and now that they have changed that to some blue with bluish shade, I'm curious to have customized colors.

We've already decided to continue using this software. It is too expensive for us to upgrade so we made a workaround by using the virtual computer with Windows XP installed on it. We did research replacing this software, but it was a better financial decision to keep what we had instead

Ever since we deployed it, it has been a one-stop-shop for our organization. Everything we do has been through it, and we do not need to use other vendors to access student records, accounts receivable, procurement records, grades, transcripts, and report cards... they are all in one interface, which has been a solid plus for our organization.

I use it regularly, so I feel it as best apart from the User Interface. For recording general day to day transactions, it is apt and to go far beyond given features and for customization, there is a need for the Tally expert to assess the business requirement, So I feel the rating is apt in this judgement.

It provides one to efficiently be able to manage bookkeeping and inventory without much challenges. One can easily navigate through workflow processes while managing usages and budgets. Being able to produce reports in Word, Excel or PDF means one is able to have a working document to produce trends and graphs or produce pivot tables.

I have personally supported all of the Dynamic family of ERP systems and made the decision to concentrate on NAV as the solution of choice. From a support and development standpoint there are few if any packages that can compare. It is not uncommon for most of the companies that I support to only call me once or twice a month after the first year. This is due to the ease of tracking down problems and errors and the ability for a developer to provide the end-user with routines that automatically correct the most basic kind of error

TallyPrime often appeals to small to medium-sized businesses due to its affordability. Its strength in inventory management and tax compliance may make it a top choice for retail or business clients in regions with complex tax regulations. Real saviour when it comes to companies with production and inventory management. Thank you Team for the software.

• Automation processing, including EDI functionality, has increased employee efficiency and prevented the need for adding additional employees.
• Implementation of the warehouse functionality, including cycle counts, has resulted in better inventory control/less shrinkage.
