I think it's clean and easy to use for most firms that are small to to small mid size. Once your firm scales out of that, I think the firm misses some critical functionality that is much harder to correct when your firm gets bigger and "heavier." There are really only 2 other software's in the space and they are Deltek and BQE CORE. I would say that Monograph is a beautiful interface, but maybe not appropriate for a firm that needs better customization at scale.

    Usability
    Monograph
It's easy to use generally, until you start diving deeper into it. The more niche the issues, the clunkier it gets. We have some critical infrastructure issues that can't be remediated without substantial lifting. Fixing PDF formatting on the invoices is also pretty much impossible, even with simple things like bolding and increasing font size. Overall, it's good but misses the mark in a lot fo small ways

Honestly, the firm owner pivoted last minute from BQE CORE due to Monograph being suggested by AI. I think the promise of project time tracking and capping hours was really promising. Also the idea of a "big stop sign" when we are going out of expected hourly allotments was compelling to him.
