Planned vs. TryBooking

Planned is well suited when you are stuck for ideas and require creative collaboration from a network of unique vendors.

I use TryBooking for all three gala fundraising events. They are well suited to each of these events. My largest gala dinner is 1,600 women at Crown Palladium, which usually sells out in ten minutes. The TryBooking system can handle this onslaught and has streamlined the whole process of ticket purchasing and receipting. Confirmation emails, the creation of guest lists and the collection of data has also been made so much easier with the use of their system.

• Great at Troubleshooting - can provide quick fix answers over the phone.
• Great Customer Service - they are always there to answer the phone.

• The platform can use some tweaking (i.e.: when reserving hotels, adding guest rooms, including meeting rooms - instead of just spaces, which can be confusing when searching).

• Would like TryBooking to re-introduce donating fees to NFPs who use their service.
• The language in the backend of the website is sometimes confusing.
• Would like more flexibility in the order of how purchasing and data collection happens.

Planned is the only event planning software company we have worked with, and plan to work with. The team behind the platform is constantly innovating to enhance features and the overall experience for both vendors and users.

• We were able to get repeat business from a new client brought to us by Planned
• We were able to learn more about what types of virtual event services we'd like to grow as a business, as a result of working with Planned
• We have not seen a financial ROI for our business yet because we have only worked with one client on the platform and it has been costly for us to accommodate this client
