Red Hat Satellite works amazingly with servers that need more control over their packages. For one or two servers that you're just doing "dnf update" Red Hat Satellite is way overkill.
It is part of our daily job, without it, we will have to manually maintain a server with repos, update the repos, it will ask us a lot of time to prepare a new set of repos, and so on. Even if it is a bit tricky to use, and for a newcomer, it needs some time, we still love to use the tool, and we keep it up to date. Curerntly using v6.19.2
