Wiz is a Tel Aviv based, cloud risk visibility solution for enterprise security. It provides a 360° view of security risks across clouds, containers and workloads.
It works extremely well for investigating the root cause analysis of events because you can see so much detail into what was happening before, after, and around the detective incident. A weak point would be when the AI gets a little over-aggressive or doesn’t quite understand the use case for specific tools. Our RMM tool was detected as a pup.
Wiz has been a game-changer for our cloud security operations, making it much easier to identify and resolve risks efficiently. The way issues are surfaced with clear descriptions and context allows our security and SecOps teams to collaborate seamlessly with the SRE team, ensuring that security concerns are addressed quickly and effectively without unnecessary friction.
Installation is very straightforward, up and running within a day with real insights. Integration with multiple tenants or platforms gives a consolidated view of the environent.
The dasboards caipabilities are great
Wiz collects data on multiple facets - IAM, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, API security and more. You can view your data in different ways, so you can focus on the areas that are most important to you. For example, you can view your data by account, by risk type, or by severity and of course look at individual facets or multiple.
We’re still in the early stages of adopting Wiz, so we haven’t encountered any major gaps or pain points yet. So far, the platform has been intuitive and effective, and we’re continuing to explore its full capabilities as we integrate it further into our cloud security workflow. I will have to report back on this once we have fully embedded!
There are some minor issues with the platform that can be mildly frustrating, but the overall performance, peace of mind, and ROI make it worth using. The management console is intuitive and easy to learn, the endpoint clients are simple but give IT professionals enough data to make management easy and simple
Wiz is actually a bit more complicated than I had anticipated, while its not over complicated, it does have a significant amount of features that can be overwhelming. It could be helpful to have reoccurring refreshers for those who don't use it often or provide some type of generate ai search to help find what area I need to look in.
Their support is good and quick to respond. The one issue we faced was when a non-protection issue arose there was a lot of dancing around trying to figure things out. This was frustrating as it took significantly longer to figure out issues. Lots of repetitive log gathers, screen caps, uninstalls that never seemed to resolve issues. Eventually, the product would be updated and the issue seemed to be resolved, but seemed to be the only solution.
SentinelOne had all of the major features that we were looking for. The other products either required too much administrative attention or were lacking key features. For example, one could be uninstalled by the end user. We required that the installation be password protected to protect against end user disabling or uninstalling. One product required manual intervention for all remediation which put to high a burden on limited staff. All products are always being revised so these may no longer be issues but they had a significant impact on our decision.
Tenable.io and Qualys are good just for vulnerability management. Wiz has very good capability to show all issues on single console and also it has provision to show them in different dashboards in different category. It shows cloud configuration gap, AWS cis benchmark gap and vulnerability management along with good reporting service.
SentinelOne has already proved its value by stopping attacks that would have gone otherwise unnoticed until much later in their infection process.
The Vigilance team has provided quick response to threats that were not easily contained via the automated response SentinelOne's agents provide. This has given us a significant piece of mind.
Wiz has saved us a lot of money and headaches. It finds problems we didn't even know we had, like weak passwords and open ports. This helps us fix things before hackers can find them. It's like having a team of security experts working 24/7.
Plus, Wiz can fix some problems itself, saving us time and money. It's a great investment for our business.
Wiz has made our cloud much safer. It helps us find and fix problems quickly, which means we can focus on our core business. It's like having an extra layer of protection for our data and systems.
