Devart’s SSIS Data Flow Components allow users to integrate database and cloud data via SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
The components provide data integration using SSIS ETL engine. They offer high performance data loading, convenient component editors, SQL support for cloud data sources and lots of data source specific features.
Look for where you are going to load the data and from where are you extracting it. A lot of those who sell you the DB already have tools for ETL. I have heard good things at an enterprise level from great colleagues about Informatica, but honestly, I prefer SSIS.
SSIS works great with the above tools. We are a Microsoft shop so anything that fosters better integration among the various tools and platforms we use is very welcomed.
I have not used any other data transformation tools other than writing custom .exe programs. SSIS is far superior as it provides so much functionality out of the box. From data sources, transformations, error handling, parallelism, scheduling, etc.
I've used several solutions from just simple ETL processes of stored procedures run manually to using Informatica.
SSIS is a good in between solution. It has sufficient maturity to be preferable to scheduled procs in SS agent jobs. But does not have the sophistication and …

Chose SQL Server Integration Services
I've used several other ETL tools and they can all do the trick once you learn how to get around their shortfalls, including SSIS. I think the best reason to use SSIS is if you're already using Microsoft tools. They integrate well with each other and it's easy to understand how …
SQL Server Integration Services is simpler to use and implement than Oracle Data Integrator. When it comes to resolving issues and getting community help SSIS is far superior. ODI has more complex functionality but would require more expert level staff for maintaining and …
If you are in a SQL Server environment, I really don't know why you wouldn't use SSIS since it is free with SQL Server and I don't know of any standalone tool that can match it. Redgate makes some great addon tools for SQL server that integrate with it to make it more powerful, …
Among the various ETL products on the market, I only used DataStage. I think that SQL Server Integration Services is much more intuitive than many others and allows for relatively little time to create a viable and very powerful solution. That obviously requires the right …
I have used Informatica in the past and it doesn't really makes it easy for ETL. If you have some experience with SSIS, you can easily implement the same within SSIS and save money as Informatica license is much more expensive than the time spent for the development of custom …
