Sync.com vs. Wasabi Object Storage

Sync.com is well suited for all organizations who want to both store & share files in the cloud. Sync.com is only good when dealing with a single account at a time. This means all projects need to reside on a single Sync.com location since there's no app solution currently available to monitor more than one cloud storage location.

Wasabi is just simple and easy to use. It incorprates well with Veeam and other backup solutions. The cost savings alone is enough to make anyone switch. Plus thier reliability has been on great. We havent experienced any down time or issues since converting out cloud backup solution to Wasabi.

• AWS S3 compatible APIs.
• Supports custom policies and sub-accounts.
• Much cheaper when compared to AWS S3.

• Provide an option on the desktop app to monitor more than a single account.

• Id love to see them add a FIPS compliant container to allow for secure storage for DoD.

Sync does an excellent job stacking up against the competitors. Like the others, Sync.com has an app that helps monitor files uploaded or downloaded into the cloud. Sync.com offers a free account that has a capacity of 6GB which is more than many of the other competitors. With security and version history, Sync.com is the software program to beat.

Wasabi is a tiny bit more expensive than Backblaze B2 ($5.99 vs $5 per TB per month), and there are minimum storage size/time requirements (1TB, 3Mo), but Wasabi has free traffic each month up to the size of storage which can save you a lot of money.

• Sync.com has major ROI in not having to invest in more storage space on premise.
• Files on Sync.com are all secure and are backed up so we don't need to spend the time doing backups.
• Sync.com does an excellent job of allowing us to share files with others by just entering their email address.

• The cost savings from previous Cloud backup solution is over 70%
• Ease of backups - Incorporation with Veeam already in place
• Our biggest bottleneck for throughput is our on-prem storage offloading to Wasabi. COuldnt be happier with thier network bandwith.
