TestDrive vs. TestProject

The more our business grew, the more we felt the risk on the horizon in that we needed somewhere to really manage and document our testing evidence. So, TestDrive helped us through the testing phase of the project by documenting and being able to access testing results, and also we had a broader scale view around regression testing.

We used to really love TestProject. It was easy to use, the interface was intuitive, and the customizations for test steps were great. Lately, though, in my experience, our agent has been dying, with no messaging, the support has been non-existent trying to help with these problems, and the installation was rough. I would have recommended this 6 months ago at a 9, but now, down to a two. If you can do everything yourself without support, if you have more visibility into the agent (ours is on a remote server) to see when it dies, and more, then you could use this product.

• In my experience, TestProject agent has been flaky as of lately
• In my opinion, support has been almost non-existent

We have not tried other similar products so it is difficult to say, but we definitely enjoy this product and the support team to work with

• Thanks to TestDrive, our automation is always ready to run, and the script maintenance lag is removed, testing can go ahead, and issues are found quicker.
• We no longer worry about varying response times for the application, nor do we no need to code "timing loops" to check if the application is in the right state.

• When our automated tests work and run smoothly, we are able to keep an easy eye on our UI.
• The user interface is super easy, we can generate multiple test cases quickly.
