3X MigrateTo Fabric

3X MigrateTo Fabric is a Cloud Migration accelerator for enterprises moving data-platform workloads to Microsoft Fabric. It supports assessment, planning, code conversion, and validation for migrations from platforms including Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Amazon Redshift.

The accelerator is intended to establish a source-informed view of data assets, dependencies, object complexity, target architecture, and migration effort before large-scale execution begins.

Key Capabilities

• Source assessment and discovery: Inventories source objects, metadata, dependencies, and estate complexity.
• Target architecture design: Produces planning inputs for Microsoft Fabric data models and Lakehouse or Warehouse patterns.
• Code conversion: Converts selected SQL and extract, transform, and load (ETL) workloads into Microsoft Fabric-compatible patterns and produces supporting technical artifacts.
• Migration planning and estimation: Generates migration waves, effort estimates, project-planning inputs, and deployment and cutover checklists.
• Validation support: Produces structured outputs to support review, reconciliation, and validation of migrated workloads.

Implementation Context

3X states that MigrateTo Fabric can produce an initial migration blueprint in three to five days. In a representative manufacturing migration cited by the vendor, the accelerator supported the migration of more than 250 Databricks notebooks and SQL workloads to Microsoft Fabric over 10 weeks. The vendor reports that automated reconciliation was used to validate output parity and that the project required fewer developer hours for repetitive translation than a manual approach.
