Acronis Files Connect & Acronis Cyber Files (discontinued)

Acronis Files Connect (formerly ExtremeZ-IP) and Acronis Cyber Files (formerly acronisAccess) were enterprise file access and sharing solutions designed to bridge the gap between disparate operating environments and provide secure mobile file management. Acronis Files Connect specifically focused on resolving SMB protocol incompatibilities to allow macOS users to access Windows file and print servers with native performance, while Acronis Cyber Files provided a secure Sync and Share infrastructure for mobile workers to access corporate file shares and SharePoint repositories from any device. According to the vendor, both products have reached their End of Life (EoL) as of 2024, with all support and maintenance services discontinued to allow the company to focus on its integrated Cyber Protect ecosystem. The vendor suggests that users of these legacy tools should transition to alternative file-sharing and access solutions as the products will no longer receive security updates or technical assistance.
