Active@ File Recovery is a practical tool for dealing with accidental deletion and more
serious data-loss situations, I and my colleagues use it at least once a month or even more, since we work in an engineering firm which includes constatnt team work, using the same files, folders, documents at the same time. It can often happen that someone overwrites or removes the wrong file mistakenly. This software solves that problem for us, which was a big headache.
Pros
- It can recover files even outside the recycle bin
- I also use it to can the drive and recover individual files
- It can also recover data from damaged or formatted partitions
Cons
- The difference between Quick Scan, SuperScan and Last Chance is not exactly clear and it could be explained better
Return on Investment
- The team is less stressed, since they have a safety net, especially new people juniors who are afraid of "ruining" some files.
- No negative impact, apart from outdated interface, which is unpleasant to the eye
