AWS is great. Come in with an open mind and have some time to really understand the functionality.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use it as our managed database for on-prem VMARE enviornments. We use it to help with our backups and we also use it to reduce some of the manual labor that it takes when administering the database.

- It is too expensive for the value
- Takes a lot of hand holding and a resource to constantly be working
- Doesn;t handle our largest sets of data very well
Return on Investment
- We have been able to improve productivity and completion of feature work by roughly 10% over the last year
- The reduction of consistent management has been extremely helpful
- The ability to quickly analyze the data is helpful
