Powerful Data Extraction with a Learning Curve

I use Apify to pull real estate data at scale for my wholesale real estate business including property listings, owner information, and market comps across multiple markets. It's replaced expensive third-party list services and manual research that used to take days. Now I get better, more comprehensive data in minutes, and I've been able to expand into new markets without hiring anyone for data sourcing.

Pros

  • The Actor library is the main feature. It covers most of the sites I target without needing to build anything from scratch.
  • The output data format is well structured. This makes it easy to integrate into my existing workflow without additional parsing.
  • The quality of data is excellent. Valid and up-to-date. No worries of garbage in garbage out.

Cons

  • The initial user interface can be intimidating.
  • Pricing for different Actors can be confusing.
  • Some terms like "compute units" take a while to fully understand how they image usage.

Likelihood to Recommend

I use Apify to scale pulling real estate data, eliminating manual data gathering and expensive list-building services. It helps me run scrapers for fresh data which is crucial in deal evaluation. For anyone who needs recurring, structured web data without a full dev team, it's hard to beat. Initial setup might be a bit daunting. But once it clicks, everything runs smoothly. I'd give it a 8/10.

This tool is wonderful, I can scrape real estate ads and do a lot of analyses with the data i scrape online !!! My clients are happy !

  • Costs are OK for how powerful this tool is

Cons

  • Hmmm, I have problems sometimes in scraping leboncoin.fr, I do it at night and sometimes it blocks when I try to load next page of ads... I have to retry manualy the run when this happens and cost me more...
  • sometime the AI chatbot is missing, I don't know why, and it reappears the next day...
  • I only have access to AI Chatbot, never a human being. For the moment it is OK, but sometimes i really need my answer from a human being.

Very good at scraping protected websites ! Sometimes it has issues during scraping such as displaying ads when clicking buttons such as "Show more". But I think it's more of targeted-website issue, not Apify. Have to confirm

Great for vibe coders

I discovered Apify a couple of months ago because I needed a way to scrape different sites (YC, WellFund, LinkedIn) for a small Saas I'm building (vibecoding) and it was super easy to incorporate the API calls into the program. The tricky thing is to find the right actor according to what you need, but once you do, it works perfectly and smoothly. The ability to test actors before you start making API calls is very useful.

we have being using Apify to validate and enrich our leads, as we are a influencer marketing agency, Apify data help us improve our workflow, we used to visit every homepage and count data manually, since there are no API access from TikTok, instagram, YouTube, X, these platform are quite close in terms of data. With the help of Apify, we are able to increase efficiency while demanding less labour, increasing overall margin.

For extracting data in a short amount of time. Proving to be very very effective for my organisation, saving us a lot of time to do things manually, or to also do things that we never thought possible. One specific use case that has been valuable to us, was the identification of key influencer identifications on social media. As our business relies on contacting a high number of them to do brand collaboration and partnerships, doing it the manual way used to take us hours.

Fast efficient and fair, would higly recommend for any information capture need its community is vast and there´s most surely an "Actor" for it, take a look.
