We publish mobile apps so we needed a solution to help us figure out how to optimize the search on the App Store and Google Play. We mainly used this for figuring out how to improve our listings with each new update that we pushed. We weren't seeing enough traffic so that's why we resorted to this solution.

  • Been using it from the very beginning so can't say what it would be like without it.
Alternatives Considered
AppTweak is easier to use, for sure. I only briefly tried AppFollow but its Trending Search seemed outdated and not useful at all, hence why we decided to go with AppTweak. I also tried getting in touch with AppFollow's customer support plenty of times and it seemed like it's non-existent.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use AppTweak for App Store Optimization and market and competitors research. It has the necessary feature to track keywords ranking, optimize keywords and track metadata changes. It shows you the volume of popular keywords, the most popular keywords in a category. It has accurate estimates for generic and brand keywords for markets. A nice feature is changing visual metadata and understanding how your app page will look after the release.

Likelihood to Recommend
It is the best tool to understand the potential volume of keywords in the market and track your keywords ranking and competitors' keywords ranking. It is not so good for market research as downloads and revenue, but the company is working on it with their Market Intelligence tool. I tried it but didn't explore it fully.
