Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In my organisation, we use Azure Cloud Services as a hybrid cloud. We are migrating our services, jobs, and database to Azure Cloud Services using VMs, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Cosmos DB, and blob storage. We are also using Azure AI for different AI use case in our organization. We've migrated over 90+ microservices to Azure Cloud for our enterprise customer and still deploying remaining to cutover on prem cost and have high up time and allowing to usecase using Azure AI. We are utilizing this at different levels from VM to AKS, AI, Database and all aspects for our enterprise usecase and datahubs

Pros

  • We are using Azure Cosmo DB and flex DB on azure as our database operations for datahub.
  • We are utilizing Azure Kubernetes services for deploying our micro services in different environment
  • We are utilizing Azure blob storage for our fallout records to reprocess
  • We are also using Azure AI factory for our internal AI use cases.
  • We are also utilizing Azure infrastructure including VMs, cloud storage and other services for our microservices application.

Cons

  • Latency and bandwidth as we often see gap here
  • There were many challenges as a developer while migrating our DB from on prem to cloud
  • System downtime is also one issue that can be improved

  • With help of Azure, our services uptime got increased be 99.8%
  • We've removed on prem dependency by 86%
  • Utilized Azure AI for building internal AI tools and managing million data in Cosmo DB

We use Azure DevOps, Azure AD, Azure MySQL and Azure Postgres Db for our software developments. As the Azure MySQL single server is in retirement path we are working on single server to flexible server migration since last 3 months with different methods suggested by Azure team but no method is successful yet

Microsoft Cloud Platform has been a very effective tool to our entire organizations Cloud service management and the best performance monitoring capability for all our Clouds applications and even the easy compatibility testing and configuration management ability. The security management provided by this platforms is reliable with excellent access controls and permissions. The automation and orchestration provided by this platform is the best and makes it easily to integrate systems and customize its API. Highly collaborative tool and with excellent capabilities to data migration and change management.

We are using IAAS and PAAS ,Azure Cloud Service is a cloud based platform which we can use for remote access our database by connecting the Microsoft Azure server by our employees working different places remotely, we are using it for storage of our client data storing client data previously is manual now we can use the storage as a container over internet which saves our time and cost and it's a secure platform.

  • It secures our data very well because of it's leading security and compliance for data privacy laws
  • The complexity of installing and managing servers on a network has been reduced, clearing more time for developers to build better solutions.
  • Web applications can be build easier and faster as well as secure by using IAAS and PAAS

  • Management activities related to team can be improved
  • More customized reporting ability , bad documentation and support
  • Pricing model is too complex
