What is Catalist?

The Catalist National Database is built on a foundation collected from Election Officials in all 50 states and the District of Columbia – a unified national voter file, with records going back over 15 years. Its infrastructure links records from a broad variety of data sources, even when those sources have conflicting, mis-matched, or out-of-date information, giving users the ability to see both short-term and long-term trends.

Continuously updated, the Catalist national database helps organizations and campaigns find people where they are now, with the history of where they have been. These data and models are continually improved with data returned to Catalist by our partners and clients, to ensure the national file is accurate.

Catalist works with organizations to tailor data subscriptions to their needs and budgets. Subscriptions provide the option of predictable annual fees – helping clients reduce per-record and per-use charges for data services and enhancements.

Additionally, Catalist software includes interactive Data Visualizations and Reports that provide up-to-date insight from data sources, including historic election results, the Catalist National Database, Census data, Kantar CMAG Ad data, and polls. When partners have more specific needs, Catalist can provide custom analyses.
