Our organization uses Cisco Vulnerability Management to ensure servers are up to date with the latest security patches. It keeps our servers safe from infiltration by bad actors and categorizes vulnerabilities with scores that indicate their severity. Various operating systems are supported, including Windows, Linux, and Unix.

It works well when interfacing with Qualys VM QualysGuard to highlight server vulnerabilities, providing details on the affected packages and programs, along with solutions and links to the provider's websites, so our servers can be kept safe by quickly addressing issues. Because vulnerability scores are assigned, we can prioritize which servers to address first.

We utilize CVM to manage vulnerabilities and to mitigate those vulnerabilities found in a timely coordinated fashion. The product gives us a big picture of the threats found ranging from user end devices to server level systems. Having this information we are able then to mend these security gaps and patch systems to better protect our company as a whole.

For user end devices this product has worked great for us. We have been able to find vulnerabilities/risks with certain software in bulk on devices and implement fixes for them very quickly. CVM has also provided us visabity on all our devices that we never had before and we can close gaps security wise a lot faster knowing now where problems are at.
