From Cogent, Global Peer Connect is a service used to connect to Global Peer Exchange (GPE). Content providers, carriers / ISPs, or corporations operating their own network with an Autonomous System Number (ASN) Global Peer Exchange enables users to exchange Internet traffic with any other network, worldwide, at marginal cost and with flexibility. Through the GPE portal, you can find and connect with other GPE participants, as well as manage your Global Peer Connect ports. Cogent states that most GPE connections are enabled within one business day. The service is backed by local customer support centers and Cogent's Service Level Agreement.
