Great software for your needs

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it as a LMS course builder. All the courses my client have are in power points. But presenting all these live is causing some time issues. So I'm creating these videos + interactive activities for students so they can do it at their own past.

Pros

Good range of templates
very simple to use. Minimalistic
the new course builder is a very welcomed add on
the new Neo 2 is a game changer

Cons

lack of realistic AI (vs what Synthesia offers). NEO 2 is the answer BUT limited
lack of mods (like animations for the texts / images)
Better voice mods too, too many robotic voices especially in different language than English. Need more adjustment we can do.

Likelihood to Recommend

There was no scenario in which I found Colossyan less appropriate. I think it's well suited for many range of scenarios ; course building, learning / teaching, content creation etc. It's not about if its less appropriate or not but how you are using it.

Stellar tool for creating professional grade training videos

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Colossyan to create training videos that will be mandatory for all the employees in my organization across the globe. It has helped us optimize costs we otherwise would have spent on professional grade production, lighting, actors/models, recording equipment, editing staff, etc. It creates hyper realistic humanoid avatars for a fraction of the cost.

Pros

The realism in tone, inflections and expressions of the avatars is unparalleled
The animation marker feature makes it easy to synchronise animations with the script for the voiceover
It is very user friendly and easy to master

Cons

The shapes are limited - as a PowerPoint user I felt the array of available shapes needs variety
The AI feature in turning an uploaded PowerPoint to a completed video could be improved
More options for English accents would be great

I would absolutely recommend Colossyan to anybody trying to create professional training videos with minimal effort, time and budget. This is a boon for instructional designers around the world at all levels of expertise.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Colossyan daily to create training videos across our organization, primarily for product and system updates training. As products and systems are constantly evolving, Colossyan allows us to rapidly develop new videos and edit pre-existing ones in a timely manner.

We also create a lot of PowerPoint presentations, so Colossyan is able to quickly import and convert slides into a video format. Because of this, we are able to quickly provide learners with different delivery methods of the same content. In addition, we like to include check-ins throughout the videos to assess whether learners are understanding the material. This is a great reinforcer for learners, as well as a great way for us to pinpoint which concepts require more attention.

Pros

Narration of videos and voices saves a lot of time
Importing and converting PowerPoints
Storing themes for later use

Cons

Previewing videos lags and takes a while to load
Animations don't come exactly when I want them to
Altering a pronunciation of a word for a script isn't always accurate

Likelihood to Recommend

Colossyan is a great tool if you work frequently in PowerPoint since you can import slide decks. It also is great if you are looking to have video narration of your own voice, but don't have the time to record and narrate an entire video script and not having professional equipment to record. Colossyan will record a quick snippet of your voice and apply that to all scripts which saves a lot of time.

Colossyan is less appropriate for scenarios where you want a lot of detail in your videos. Colossyan is pretty basic in what it can do such as animations. For example, if you have an arrow enter in a scene and then want it to exit, it has to be that exact animation again.

Pros

It creates a very good training environment to create within
Very user friendly for teaching other editors & Scalable.

Cons

Dynamic backgrounds that the avatar can interact with to some degree would be nice.
A continued trek towards AGI and script building. Improving AI generated images inside the domain as well.

Colossyan is well suited since we work within the maritime industry to introduce our clients to the world of educational training that is both dynamic and cutting edge. We leverage AI driven scripts based on raw source material from their health and safety plans and give them valuable insight that they can make their own and leverage as their training environment.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Colossyan enables us to create product videos in any language very quickly, based on a couple of templates that we created. Our product, csm, sales teams will now be able to create and share custom videos for our customers with simplicity and very quickly. Colossyan is a great product that I recommend.
