Otsuka OPAF.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I used the Data Motion Direct Secure Messaging platform to access a portal used by Otsuka and the associated OPAF (Otsuka Patient Assistance Foundation). The business problem addressed is the need for patients or potential patients to send secure messages to OPAF administrators. The scope of my use case is as an end user (a patient).
Pros
- Allows me to save drafts (in case I’m not ready to send).
- Allows me to appropriately route my message.
- Allows me to adequately voice my opinions or concerns with ample free text space.
Cons
- The account setup process was initially very laggy; I’d like that to be optimized.
- There should be a dashboard with icons that enable users to initiate tasks easily (sending messages, viewing unread messages, etc).
- Ideally there should be a brief FAQ so that users can get acclimated to the system.
Return on Investment
- Able to send first secure message to OPAF.
- Secured PHI for myself, as well as hundreds and thousands of others.
