On the right-hand side you can see the operating system packages. While this particular application was deployed in a container that had a total of 179 operating system packages installed, 28 of those were vulnerable. We have only observed 35 of those packages or libraries being used, so out of the 179 packages or libraries that are deployed, only 35 are being used. But, notice we've only generated 16 alerts.There may be a little bit of confusion, say we have 28 vulnerable packages, but you've only generated 16 alerts. Here's the really great thing about Deepfactor. In order to avoid alert fatigue for the developers, we only generate alerts when a particular library or dependency is actually used. What this means is even though we have 28 vulnerable libraries, the application only used 16 of those. Those are what we've generated alerts for.

In this case it's a single component, it's a C application again we mentioned that there's no dependencies, the distribution of operating system packages based on the total with the amount of vulnerabilities that have been displayed, but we actually take it a step further. In our bill of materials we include the network listening ports as well as any web services that are being exposed.
