My Favorite Creative Stock Asset Website

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a creative graphics designer, filmmaker, and website designer, I need to find high-quality stock assets for my projects. After searching many websites, I found Depositphotos to be the best source for licensing Stock Images, Photos, Vectors, Illustrations, and Videos. The website is easy to navigate and it has a huge collection of high-quality images, that never ceases to amaze me.I use Depositphotos as one of my main sources for commercial usage of very high-quality stock assets for my professional film projects, website designing elements, photos for my blog, youtube channel, and social media, and commercial ads projects.

Pros

  • I particularly like using Depositphotos when creating or updating my website because they have a huge collection of high-quality images that can be used as backgrounds on my website or as highlighted photos in my hero header and my landing pages to grab the attention of my site visitors effectively.
  • I often need photos on a variety of topics related to my niche to go with my blog posts, and Depositphotos has never let me down. I have always been able to find an image that fits each of my blog posts.
  • I can always rest assured that I have licensed and legitimately used the images, and not worry about any future copyright strikes or infringements.

Cons

  • I hail from Assam in north-east India and really wish that Depositphotos had a larger collection of images from my local region, as there are rich and diverse cultures to be found in the seven states of north-east India.
  • I really wish Depositphotos had a monthly or yearly plan like Envato Elements that was easy on the wallet and gave full access to the whole collection. Instead, I have to pay per photo or buy a bundle of photos at a higher price.
  • There is a lot of competition for Depositphotos from sites like Shutterstock, Adobe stock, Envato, Getty Images, 123rf, and many more that have stock content that is related to or the same as Depositphotos. In this way, Depositphotos loses its uniqueness and exclusivity, and hundreds of the same photos can be found on competing sites for the same price or less, depending on discounts and offers.

The site offers great deals on royalty-free high-quality images that are perfect for any type of project. I love how easy it is to search through the different categories to find exactly what I need. The site has an intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate through the different categories or sort by date or price range.I also like how easy it is to download the files I need without having to worry about any additional fees or monthly subscriptions. I prefer the image download pack, where you pay once and then you can download selected images of your choosing from their library whenever you need them! This site has been very useful in helping me achieve my creative goals in terms of making my own films and creating beautiful graphic designs for websites or advertisements.

Find the Best Reasonably Priced Design Assets on Depositphotos

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have used Depositphotos for our Marketing teams for the stock photos that are being used on our websites. The quality of the stock photos is top-notch and rivals that of its closest competition - Shutterstock and Adobo Stock. I also used the stock photos from Depositphotos for the websites I personally own and operate as I can quickly create a stunning website using the assets downloaded from the platform.

Pros

  • Ever increasing library of images
  • High Quality Professional Stock Photos
  • Reasonable pricing for images, videos, and other assets

Cons

  • All in one subscription to download all types of assets.
  • Missing a feature to create a collection to organize favorites.
  • Lacking the option to download an entire collection of assets like for Summer, etc.

Likelihood to Recommend

For marketing creatives, Depositphotos is just perfect for their usage. The quality and variety of photos are just top-notch. Currently, the platform is only integrated with its sister company Vista Create so users of other design platforms would not be able to quickly search for a stock photo right inside their preferred design platform.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've used Depositphotos to quickly and easily find images I needed for blog posts. As well as vector images and graphics for other things I've been creating. I use the on-demand service as I don't need images all the time. I've been able to find images that are related to my niche easily. It's saved me so much time and hassle and I know I can use the images for what I want without worry.

Pros

  • They have good search results.
  • They will show you similar images in the same photo series.
  • You can filter the image type to match what you are after.
  • There are a lot of vector image options.

Cons

  • I'm not sure if they have it or not. But it would be good to easily suggest photos they should get. On the off chance, they don't have what you are looking for.

Depositphotos is great for finding images/graphics for the following situations:

- Blog posts

- Website pages

- If you're creating something and need vector graphics.

They even have complete illustrations which could be used for advertising or other promotional items you may want to create. If you want to remove the background from an image Depositphotos can help with that. And they even have a tool that will upscale images without loss of quality.

This tool can help you create visually appealing content in minutes

Great selection of quality images with impressive search functionality

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Depositphotos primarily for images and icons used for social media, website, and sales funnel page builds. Many website builders have a limited selection of icons and graphics, so I use Depositphotos for vector images and high-quality stock photos for backgrounds, thumbnails, and page design. The images from Depositphotos tend to be more accurate and less repetitive than in other places.

Pros

  • Search function is accurate and robust.
  • Selection is different from the most used free image sites. The quality of the images is professional and high resolution.
  • Their search filtering options are useful to match the type of image you are looking for. Let's you choose the type of person you want in the background, landscape versus isolation, orientation, etc.

Cons

  • I first found them via a search result that promotes free images from them but when I tried the free search, it usually asks to create an account and then makes it look like payment is needed.
  • Hence, there needs to be a clearer distinction between paid versus free. Maybe, a watermark in the thumbnail or something similar.
  • Personally, I dislike having too many accounts everywhere. If something is free, I don't understand why I need to create an account to download it. Maybe, there's a customer-focused way to position the account creation as a benefit instead of making it look like a barrier or marketing ploy.
  • It's a challenging problem to address but regularly I see images that appear on free image sites. I don't know if someone takes them from Depositphotos and puts them on a free site or vice-versa but it seems odd to pay for an image that appears for free somewhere else.
  • Related to this, there are times when the images appear are vectors but they come with specific text that cannot be edited. Maybe, these images shouldn't be allowed on the platform.

Likelihood to Recommend

I have access to a few image databases and I find myself using more of the Depositphotos images because their search function is very accurate so I can find the images I'm looking for fairly quickly. I also like how they show related images or searches because it helps spark creativity. The image selection works well for background designs and enhancing messaging. I'd say their free image selection is not as robust as other sites. If you are looking for free images you'll find high-quality and professional options here but you may be limited in the options. That said, I trust Depositphotos many times more than other sites. It seems they do a pretty good job at keeping their database clean from plagiarism.
