DigestSEO
What is DigestSEO?
DigestSEO is a browser-based technical SEO auditing and website monitoring product designed for developers, SEO professionals, agencies, SaaS founders, and website owners. It combines a free single-page audit with a project workspace for recurring website crawls, issue tracking, and historical comparison.
Technical SEO auditing
The public audit evaluates one publicly accessible URL without requiring an account. It checks PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals lab data, HTML validity, page titles and meta descriptions, heading structure, canonical tags, robots directives, indexability, links, images, social metadata, and structured data.
Website monitoring
The Site Audit workspace supports multiple website projects and bounded multi-page crawls. Findings are organized into errors, warnings, and notices with affected URLs and supporting evidence.
Users can:
• Review Health Score, URLs crawled, and issue totals
• Compare completed crawls and issue history
• Inspect prioritized technical SEO findings
• Schedule daily, weekly, or monthly audits
• Export findings as CSV or printable reports
• Rerun crawls to verify whether fixes improved website health
DigestSEO calculates Health Score as the percentage of crawled internal URLs that do not contain errors. Warnings and notices remain visible without reducing the score.
AI search visibility
DigestSEO also provides mcp-geo, an open-source, MIT-licensed Model Context Protocol server for measuring how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews mention and cite a brand.
The MCP component records citation evidence, visibility history, competitor share of voice, and content gaps. It can run locally with SQLite or be self-hosted on Cloudflare Workers and D1. Users configure only the AI-engine API keys they choose to use and can query the resulting data from compatible MCP clients.
Differentiation
DigestSEO focuses on technical crawl evidence and AI-search visibility instead of attempting to replace a broad enterprise marketing suite. The public audit provides an immediate no-account entry point, while the workspace adds repeatable monitoring, schedules, history, and exports.
The open-source MCP component provides a transparent, self-hostable alternative to closed AI-visibility dashboards and allows visibility data to remain on infrastructure controlled by the user.
Pricing and availability
The public page audit and Site Audit workspace are currently available free with published usage limits. The mcp-geo server is free under the MIT license. Users are responsible for any third-party AI-engine API usage costs.
