DISCFLOW
What is DISCFLOW?
Discflow is a behavioral assessment product that measures DISC behavioral style, across eight styles, and emotional intelligence (EI) in a single report with coaching guidance for each profile. It is sold with a platform for assigning assessments, a guidance tool called FlowConnect, and a certification and training program for practitioners.
Audience
Human resources (HR) and talent acquisition teams, learning and development (L&D) teams, leaders and managers, sales teams, and coaches and consultants who run assessments for clients.
Key Capabilities
- Core 2.0: The flagship report combines DISC and EI. The vendor states that most people take 10 to 15 minutes, with an adaptive questionnaire drawing about 114 of 138 items, and the output is a 36-page PDF with three sections: DISC style, eight EI dimensions, and eight combined topics. Debrief structures, facilitation guides, and workshop materials support it.
- DISC measurement: The eight styles are D, DI, I, IS, S, SC, C, and CD, and Discflow places each person in one of them. The pages do not explain the scoring method.
- EI measurement: Eight dimensions in two domains, each on a five-point scale. Self-Awareness covers self-reflection, self-belief, emotional clarity, and seeking feedback. Awareness of Others covers social intuition, valuing differences, emotional insight, and empathy.
- Leader 2.0: A leadership report across five dimensions: leadership style, communication and influence, strengths and blind spots, behavior under pressure, and impact on team dynamics. It takes 10 to 15 minutes.
- Fit 2.0: A short DISC-only assessment used after a shortlist to shape interviews and onboarding, with an interview companion, a snapshot, and a candidate profile. The vendor states that it must not be used to select, rank, or screen candidates and does not predict job performance.
- Flow360: A multi-rater feedback report on competencies, not on DISC. The leader and raters pick 8 to 12 of 26 competencies, raters include a manager, two to seven peers, and two to ten direct reports, and feedback appears only after a minimum number of raters respond. The vendor states that it is not a psychometric instrument.
- Other reports: Portrait 2.0, Sales 2.0, and Group 2.0 for teams are named. I did not read their pages.
- FlowConnect: Carries a person's profile into daily work. It provides guidance for six named moments (giving feedback, receiving feedback, handling disagreement, decisions under pressure, competing priorities, and difficult conversations), each with a likely default, a watch-for, and one shift to try. It also provides 264 written one-to-one interaction patterns between styles, team dynamics, and a private journal. The pages describe no automatic trigger, so a person chooses the moment. An AI coach called Flo draws on the person's own profile and the written guidance, and the vendor states it is built on Azure OpenAI. FlowConnect is included with Portrait 2.0, Core 2.0, Leader 2.0, and Sales 2.0, and not with Fit 2.0 or Flow360.
- Platform: Administrators assign assessments to one or many people, track completion, chase people who have not finished, and receive reports automatically. The vendor states there is one administrator account and no per-user licensing. I found no integrations with applicant tracking or HR systems, API, or single sign-on.
- Research basis: The vendor's technical manual reports a norming sample of 994 working adults, internal consistency of .73 to .87 for DISC scales and .76 to .86 for EI sub-domains, test-retest reliability of .72 to .86 over four to six weeks, and confirmatory factor analyses for the eight-style DISC structure and the EI framework. The pages cite no external studies, and the manual is described as both available on request and published, so I could not verify it.
- Training: A Certified Trainer course of three four-hour live sessions, and a twelve-month leadership program for cohorts of nine to twelve leaders.
- Security: The vendor states that data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, that FlowConnect's AI processing runs in Sweden, that data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and that nothing entered trains an AI model. It states retention of up to five years after last activity, and a data processing agreement is available on request. The Trust page names no security certification.
