Dryad really helped me to find the datasets I was looking for in some of my data science projects. In some areas, there was a need for more data, and data collection was either too costly or time-consuming. It was also important to know the data lineage which in this case the datasets easily can give us the source metadata.

Dryad is well suited for situations where you are lacking data and or on the lookout for more interesting datasets to work with. It is also easy to read about how the authors collected the data and even provides a link to email them in case you need more information.
