Excellent Backup software, well worth the low cost.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I chose and installed the Home version of this product and found it very easy to set up and run. Installation was quick and setting up the routine was simplicity itself. I don't currently have a NAS, so backup to a dedicated local HDD alongside a cloud backup solution. It's largely "fire and forget" in its operation, at least in my workflow.

Pros

  • It's easy to use for beginners. I found the UI to be straightforward and logical.
  • The software also runs in the Windows Pre-install Environment (Windows PE) if the machine crashes. Of course, you need to have backed up the drive first!
  • Backups from the whole OS down to single files is available.
  • Backup to CD/DVD, SSD and HDD are all supported.

Cons

  • Speed. The software can be a little slow, in my experience.
  • Backup to cloud services is not supported (on my version, anyway)
  • The background process slows down my computer.

Return on Investment

  • There's been no financial ROI for this software, but the peace of mind is priceless.
