Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our department employed eG Enterprise to monitor VMware, AWS, our systems, servers, and applications. It competently keeps track of the performance of all IT applications. The platform provides us with automated visibility of apps, reports stagnated apps, and debugs them. eG Enterprise ensures the efficient running of our entire IT framework.

  • Provides extensive visibility beyond the performance of apps and the entire infrastructure.
  • The excellent diagnostic capacities allow us to drill down issues and find their root cause.
  • Good APM capabilities.

Cons

  • Compact dashboards.
  • Limited customization on dashboards.
  • Less expensive licensing.

eG Enterprise has brimming monitoring potentiality; it monitors servers, applications, networks, and basically the entire infrastructure. It is a comprehensive and flexible monitoring tool with deep app diagnostic capabilities. It reports slowing down of apps and isolates the cause of the down trending. The tool is expensive but provides good value for money.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We planned to use it for Citrix In-depth

Monitoring. We had lot of challenges with Citrix VDI monitoring and eG Enterprise has

great solution in Digital user experience monitoring. We were looking for Synthetic

transaction for both thin and Thick client and eG address the same.

Pros

  • Deep visibility of user experience in VDI environments
  • Synthetic monitoring of both web-based and VDI user transactions
  • Visualize response-time break-up for websites/web applications and isolate the cause the slowness: is it in the client browser, server-side, network, or content download

Cons

  • eG Enterprise supports only traditional Deployment Architecture on Desktop, Windows server and Linux server
  • Could be Improve in Integration like accepting data from different monitoring tools and perform the data analytics like deduplication correlation etc…
  • I am sure the product is excellent for Technologies monitoring like Citrix, SAP, VMware, Oracle, Nutanix and 0365, Competitive licensing can defiantly give edge
