Use Cases and Deployment Scope

To support the deployment of software across 32 different school boards, we use EMCO MSI Package Builder to help prepare troublesome software APP-V deployments with needed customizations for each organizations. The software helps us to be able to quickly prepare deployment packages for each board as needed.

Pros and Cons

Capture Customizations to settings/registry.
Track File movement and additions during install for specific uses.
Capture file and system level changes for inclusion in deployment.

Work on clearly defining functions on reboot.

For large, complex software deployments that have a number of install scenarios and executables that interact with one another, EMCO MSI Builder is well-suited. It is able to track software installs, registry changes, file additions, and deletions, modifying shortcuts and anything else that would be needed to prepare big deployment projects for large organizations.
