Figma Dev Mode - A must have tool
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I have been using Figma Dev Mode for more then 4 years and have been using it in my day to day activities as a QA engineer. The Dev Mode has helped me with finding typography and paddings easily without having to open the component individually and helps by reducing efforts and time required in testing webpages against the web designs
Pros
- Easily visible values of padding and spaces
- Exact code of font and other typography values
- More detailed view of the components present directly visible
Cons
- Dev seat is paid feature and not available for free
- The font fallback values are not present in the design directly
- The animations are not present in component level
Return on Investment
- Figma Dev Mode is feasible when the project is having a high budget
- Figma is like a user friendly software and is very easy for everyone to grasp
- Since it has been there for a long time, the clients also trust and recommend Figma for designing
