I use Firefox Reality in selected seminars with up to 30 students as a fast and secure browser for virtual reality headsets. In particular, the ability to seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D to think of diverse content solves a key problem I was facing before. The high speed and security have also made a lasting impression on me.
  • Switch between 2D and 3D content.
  • secure and fast browser for 3D content.
  • Private Modus.
  • Full screen and focus mode, cinema mode.
  • Speech recognition for voice control.
  • Regular updates with new functions.
  • Immediate security updates when security vulnerabilities become known.
Especially in the university context, Firefox Reality has a particularly high utility value as an open-source application. Wherever content is not only conveyed in 2D but also in 3D, Firefox Reality is a safe and powerful browser that can be used on all common VR glasses. The low administration effort and the clear interface provide both teachers and learners with great value.
  • Students engagement with VR-Technology.
  • Low-threshold interaction with technology.
  • Independent testing of the application in teaching-learning contexts.
Firefox Reality is convincing precisely because of the open source code. This also opens up the possibility for students to independently comprehend all aspects of the program in the code and thus learn a mature approach to the technology. Comparable products cannot offer this added value, which is particularly important in a university context.

We were looking for a performant and secure VR browser that could be quickly deployed by our students. It was also important that the administration could be done individually by the teachers. In our opinion, Firefox Reality is the best application for these requirements. This assessment has not changed even after one year.
Since we have not been disappointed with Firefox Reality so far, we would choose the product again. The students also gave us feedback in numerous evaluations that they are very satisfied with the product. Therefore we see no reason to change your evaluation and selection process in any way or form.
