By incorporating telematics and dash cam data from users into HDVI's integrated risk management model, HDVI aims to select, price, manage, and retain risk more accurately and efficiently than incumbent commercial auto insurance providers, and integrating safety tech into their program helps users drive more safely.

HDVI Shift

Thre company's flagship service, HDVI Shift is a personalized and dynamically-priced insurance product in commercial auto. It enables users to take control of a truck fleet’s insurance costs by earning a monthly discount for safe driving. And rather than waiting potentially months to see a discount, HDVI allows fleets to earn discounts for safety in real-time. HDVI also provides historical telematics data up front, to enable fleets using their service to see savings faster.

HDVI connects with users' ELD and dash cam solutions to get a real-time view of risk using telematics data. Using the safety data coming from trucks and HDVI's proprietary risk model is how the service generates its discounts. And to ensure savings are maximized, HDVI provides a variety of tools and personalized coaching to support fleet safety and success, as well as immediate feedback on how to lower the fleet's premium within the policy period. As the fleet's safety increases, monthly premiums can also decrease, dynamically.
