What is HOL Guard?
HOL Guard is local-first runtime control for AI coding agents, from Hashgraph Online. It mediates shell commands, secrets and file reads, MCP server changes, and plugin or skill installs on the user's machine.
It features:
- Local-first runtime mediation for shell, files, and secrets
- Controls for MCP server, plugin, and skill changes
- Human approval workflows for risky agent actions
- Security receipts and audit trails
- Works with common AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and similar)
HOL Guard is open source under Apache-2.0.
