Hololink has become popular among users for its versatile use cases and practical applications. Users have found the software particularly beneficial for designing 3D presentations, allowing them to deliver impactful tutorials and explanations. Reviewers have praised Hololink's ability to easily create 3D models with augmented reality features. Its intuitive interface and drag-and-drop functionality have been well-received, along with the absence of long rendering times that save time and effort. Additionally, Hololink facilitates collaboration and provides easy access to corrections, enhancing productivity.

One key use case of Hololink is in education, where it serves as an add-on tool that engages students in various subjects through visual aids. Students can work on different designs and visualizations in their presentations while gaining hands-on experience in creating digital experiences using Hololink.

Moreover, Hololink is valued by users for its versatility in creating unique marketing materials and experiences. Its 3D capabilities offer a new dimension to advertising and promotional content, captivating audiences with immersive visuals.

In summary, Hololink finds application in three main scenarios: designing compelling marketing materials and experiences, engaging students through visual aids, and teaching students how to create digital experiences using Hololink as a tool.

Attractive and Useful Templates: Many users have found the pre-made templates in Hololink to be attractive and useful for starting their designing work. These templates provide a great starting point and save time for users, allowing them to easily create their augmented reality experiences.

Massive Library of Pre-made Images: The massive library of pre-made images in Hololink has been praised by users for its variety and availability. This extensive collection allows users to choose from a wide range of elements, enhancing the flexibility and creativity of their designs.

Easy-to-Use Tool with an Attractive Dashboard: Users have described Hololink as very easy to use, with an attractive dashboard that enhances the overall experience. The intuitive interface makes it simple for both tech-savvy individuals and non-tech users to navigate through the tool effortlessly.

Lack of Tutorials: A few users have expressed their desire for more tutorials in Hololink. They feel that additional tutorials would help them better understand the interface and make it easier for them to utilize all the features effectively.

Issues with Triggers: Several users have encountered difficulties with triggers in Hololink. Although they acknowledge that these issues have been resolved by the development team, they initially found it challenging to work with triggers and had trouble getting them to function properly within their AR projects.

We use Hololink as an add-on in education. It gives our students an opportunity to work on different designs and visualization in their presentations and to work in 3D.
  • it´s easy accesible AR
  • it´s a welcome addition in 3d presentations
  • It gives access to tutorials at hand, when teacher is occupied elsewhere
  • I had problems with the triggers, but its been fixed
I only know Hololink from an educational point of view, but as a teacher, I find it easy to use and a fun way to incorporate tech in reports and presentations. My knowledge of the demands in other traits is too little for me to decide whether Hololink is up for the task. For the tasks I've had at hand, Hololink has been a good choice.
  • Easy access
  • Easy to use
  • Plenty of tutorials
  • It doesn´t take a lot of time to get a great outcome
  • As an educational aid its great but hard to measure
A long time ago I use Aurasma. As I recall it was quite heavy because you had to transfer the Aura from your computer to the student's smartphones through signup on the internet and making them connect to your user with an invitational code, and if it didn´t work it was hard to figure out why. Hololink is just a scan away and you don´t have to connect to any user accounts to see other student products.

I use Hololink for three things: 1) Making unique marketing materials and experiences for Handelsgymnasiet Vestfyn; 2) Making visual experiential aids in order to better engage students in the subjects that I teach; 3) Teaching students to make interesting, digital experiences using Hololink as a tool, which fits in well with some of the themes of informatics as a subject.
  • As opposed to all other AR creation tools that I know, Hololink does not require consumers to download an app, thereby bypassing the primary problem of creating AR experiences, which is getting people to download an app. Let it be known that native apps are going away, the future is web-based because it is easier.
  • The Hololink image-tracking, which enables AR elements to be projected upon real-world objects and images is exceptionally good compared to other AR projects that also use image-tracking. In Hololink your buttons, 3D models, and videos do not sail away from the objects that they're supposed to be attached to.
  • The people working on Hololink are very focused on UX, and the few times that I have had suggestions, they have been very attentive.
  • Hololink comes pre-packed with a lot of 3D models there are cases where I would like to write text on models directly, instead of using the annotation function which Hololink provides. It would be easier than having to upload my own 3D models, which is also possible.
On the commercial side, Hololink is perfect for implementing extra information in existing materials. Why make an entire catalog, when you can just have one page with a Hololink on it. It doesn't require an app. Everyone who has a smartphone will be able to see the AR overlay. I have recommended Hololink to many of my colleagues at other institutions, who have made brilliant commercial AR experiences in other systems, but struggle with getting potential new students to download an app, in order to see it. I cannot emphasize enough how great it is to be able to skip the download-an-app part. Hololink also has a great potential for geocaching-like experiences and games. One way this could be achieved would be to make it possible for users to make a username, and then give them points when they use a Hololink in a certain way, or reward them for finding Hololinks in the wild. It would be interesting if the Hololink tracker could look for more images simultaneously, appealing to the more exploratory aspects of people. These are functionalities that I hope might come in the future.
  • No app required
  • Great tracking
  • Intuitive editor
  • AR is hot right now and thus helps attract people. In the future, the AR-excitement might lessen, but it has clear affordances in terms of communication that will continue to be relevant as long as people have smartphones or google-glasses or the likes.
Bypassing the need for a native app brings experiences made with Hololink closer to the consumer, than any of the others. Hololink thus becomes everyday use. Other products will appeal to most people only on occasion or when it is part of some larger environment, as in the case of Spark for Instagram.
